Now the body is back on I can see how it looks next to the engine! Quite pleased with the result but if I was to do it again I would not cover so much of the footwells with the Aluminium. For now it will have to do. I am a little concerned about clearance of the clutch lever and have worn another couple of mm off the end. I won’t be sure I have enough space until I add fluid to the clutch hydraulics and can actually test the travel.

I took a look at Clive’s car recently and he had a lot of clearance, mine is much smaller and not sure why. I will add something here if I find a reason for it! Right now I have to hope things are right or it will mean taking the gearbox out again.

I wonder if I will be able to keep it looking so clean and neat once she is on the road!
