I aim to log my progress here on this log as I go about building a Gerry Hawkridge Cobra. I hope to build the car as authentically as funds allow reproducing the iconic car of the 1960s. A 289 Cobra won the FIA championship using the newly introduced small block Ford V8 engine placed inside the British AC Ace modified car by Carroll Shelby. A sensation at the time and still stunning today. The first challenge is to source an engine !
