I was fortunate to receive a Hawk Chrome handbrake for my birthday! So once I had purchased the trunion, spring and washers I installed in the car. I was not happy with the hand brake calipers returning to position after use. There is a small spring within the calliper to do this, however I had not replaced these and I felt on time they may not be enough to release the handbrake pads once disengaged. I had posted on T289R blog and received a few replies saying they had added a bracket to take the original Jag springs. I decided to do the same. Took a while to work out where to place them that would not foul a brake pipe or cause problems with the body.

I am hoping the spot I found will work! They certainly help the pads withdraw and provide a good level of confidence ! Job done then!
