I have decided to strip the hand brake actuators so that i can clean and service them but also have the main parts zinc coated to tie in with the calipers. I used a match box the hold the internal items once cleaned ready for refitting. These are not complicated and should automatically adjust the for wear of the handbrake shoes. I have read on some Jaguar forums that they often stop working as the grease get congealed and goes solid. I wonder why you need to adjust for wear on the handbrake pads, I can’t see many owners of Jag doing handbrake turns! It won’t be something I will be doing the Hawk either!
